About Us
Leben College of Health Sciences & Technology (LECHST) is located in Kakamega County -KAKAMEGA North -Butali Chegulo ward, Butali Market opp-butali LEBEN HOSPITAL, Next to Butali law COURTS, along Butali -Webuye Road. It started its operations in 2016 as a centre for Continuing Professional Development for medical and health allied professionals. In July 2016, it was accredited by the Nursing Council of Kenya and admitted its pioneer class of thirty (30) students for training in the Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) programme.
In April 2017, LECHST was approved for the training in Diploma and Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology (HRIT). This was a major milestone for the college as it put the college on its path to becoming a comprehensive medical training college.
Further in July 2018, the college was approved to train Clinical Officers by the Clinical Officers Council. The training leads to a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
